Leading Industrial Technology Conglomerate Fortive Acquires Hourly Worker Human Resources Tool, TeamSense

TeamSense | September 13, 2021

After a successful launch as a COVID symptom tracker tool for the hourly workforce, TeamSense, the leading app-free, text-based human resources tool for hourly workers in the manufacturing space was acquired by the Fortive Corporation. TeamSense is the first spinout company from a joint innovation studio created by Seattle, Washington-based Pioneer Square Labs and Everett, Washington headquartered Fortive. Adding to its portfolio of more than 20 companies, TeamSense joins similar Fortive companies such as Fluke, Textronix and Industrial Scientific.

"At the height of the pandemic, we empowered a small team of manufacturing veterans to quickly develop and scale a brilliant app-free, COVID-19 symptom-tracker for essential hourly workers", said Kirsten Paust, Vice President of Fortive Business System Office. "Because they knew the factory workers' needs so well, it was incredibly successful and evolved into a digital suite of app-free tools. TeamSense now tracks attendance, provides an on-demand ESS portal, and more. At a time in history where 90% of workplace tech innovations serve the 20% of the workforce that is office-bound, TeamSense is bringing tech to the 80% of the workforce who really need it and are overdue for their share."

"Our mission at TeamSense is to support, engage and enable the hourly employee" - Sheila Stafford CEO and Co-founder

"From my days at Whirlpool, and GM, I had firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of a manufacturing operation. It was clear; there is a large opportunity to innovate for the hourly-employee - on their terms. Our mission at TeamSense is to support, engage and enable the hourly employee - an often-overlooked segment of the workforce with innovation that works for the way they work," said Sheila Stafford, CEO and Cofounder of TeamSense. "Now that we are officially part of Fortive, we can be laser focused on delivering on our mission,  as opposed to securing our next round of VC investment."

About TeamSense:
TeamSense is the leading non-app, text-based digital platform tool developed to manage hourly workers by manufacturing veterans whose understanding of what keeps a factory running makes it the #1 choice for multinational employers from Hunter Douglas to Pella Windows. Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Now Supports Payroll in France

Oracle | June 01, 2022

On May 31st, leading software solutions provider Oracle, announced that it plans to launch Oracle France Payroll, a tool on the Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. The new solution will enable organizations to navigate compliance, develop automated workflows and accelerate payroll processing for employees in France. The Oracle France Payroll addition to the Oracle Cloud HCM will deliver integrated support for countries like Bahrain, China, Qatar, Canada, Kuwait, Mexico, U.A.E, U.K. and the U.S., with support for India and Oman to follow. France is known for having the most complex payroll in all of Europe. The country requires employers to withhold and report income for a range of taxes on behalf of over 30 million French employees. "Payroll is one of the single most important functions for keeping a workforce running smoothly. Employees have zero tolerance for mistakes or delays when it comes to their compensation, no matter how complicated the local rules and regulations are. It's essential that organizations use a cloud-based payroll system that natively integrates with their core HR systems to automatically stay up to date with changes in regulations and their workforce. The upcoming launch of Oracle France Payroll is a huge opportunity for local and multinational companies operating in France to benefit from that integration in their HR and payroll operations." -Holger Muller, principal analyst, Constellation Research The Oracle France Payroll platform will empower organizations in multiple ways. One of them is eliminating manual processes and reducing payroll errors. The automation of highly complex rules will enable clients to easily meet compliance standards and reporting requirements. The platform will allow multinationals in France to expand their operations with one powerful payroll solution. "In France, the government and collective bargaining groups are constantly changing the laws and agreements regarding taxes and compensation in hopes of improving working conditions for employees. That can make it challenging for organizations to stay up-to-date on the latest processes they need to follow to pay their employees accurately and fairly. With Oracle France Payroll, local and multinational organizations with employees in France will be able to automate payroll operations to pay their workers quickly and accurately. Frequent and automatic updates will help ensure payroll operations are always in compliance, even as laws and contracts change." -Chris Leone, senior vice president of development, Oracle Cloud HCM
