Vimeo enters recruiting market with tool for sourcing video talent
Video platform Vimeo announced Sept. 23 a new tool to help employers find and hire freelance video experts. According to Vimeo, the platform provides a "For Hire" marketplace that allows companies, agencies, brands and anyone who's looking to produce high-quality videos to find the best talent for the job. Users can post project requests, browse the platform's global talent network, and connect with videographers, editors, filmmakers, animators and other professionals, Vimeo said. Video freelance professionals can look for job openings in line with their expertise and find paying projects, said Vimeo, which takes no fee or commission. "Every business, brand and agency today faces hurdles in producing video at scale," Anjali Sud, Vimeo's CEO, said in a media release.
