Businesses Struggle to Find Qualified Talent Despite Millions of Individuals Looking to Re-enter the Workforce

Even amid record high unemployment rates across the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic, talent scarcity remains a significant challenge for businesses. As per the 2021 Talent Trends Report released by Randstad Sourceright, 40% of human capital leaders report that talent scarcity has adversely affected their organization – the most elevated all out in the previous five years.

The survey found 40% of HR leaders continue on encountering talent scarcity in IT, while 28 percent say they can't discover enough qualified candidates for HR jobs — and almost one out of five need more finance and accounting experts.
