Walmart has created a "COVID-19 emergency leave policy" in response to the novel coronavirus, according to a March 10 email the company sent to its U.S. associates and shared with HR Dive. National Overview: According to the U.S. Workforce Activity Report from Kronos Incorporated for July 27-Aug. 2, shift work volume1 remained essentially flat between the weeks ending July 26 and Aug. 2, growing just 0.5% week-over-week. Walmart will pay employees another cash bonus to recognize them for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a company press release.
