The total cost to U.S. employee benefit plans caused by the COVID-19 pandemic could exceed $23 billion, according to a report published earlier this month by the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI), a research nonprofit. Walmart has created a "COVID-19 emergency leave policy" in response to the novel coronavirus, according to a March 10 email the company sent to its U.S. associates and shared with HR Dive.
