Success Stories

You can be everything. You can be the infinite amount of things that people are

An attitude of a person decides a person's path to future success.  One can achieve wonders if one forms a firm determination to do it. A successful person possesses the following characteristics: perseverance, optimism, zeal for something, and adaptability.

Success is not only one man’s effort. It includes all the uncountable efforts and sleepless nights of the mentors, co-workers, and companions who are associated with you. A positive mindset and a holistic approach become the backbone of success. Visionaries who move ahead with the whole crew rather than single-handedly are more success-driven. Success is not a game of chance. It is a result of the effective utilization of your strengths and opportunities, perseverance, patience and teamwork. Failure is an integral part of success. But the art of handling failures decides one’s growth rate. People who are patient in their work and accept failures with a positive attitude are likely to grow at a faster rate in comparison to those who are impatient and look for short=term results. We all need to be farsighted in our vision instead of concentrating on short-term achievements.

Entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Sundar Pichai, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg did not become successful in a day. And what is even more tedious is maintaining your success rate. Their commitment to the job and empathy for their employees set them apart from the competition.

Inspired by these great people, I am delighted to share one of my success stories. Currently, I am serving as one of the directors at Finocontrol.

I was in my first year of graduation when I started my journey as an intern for the post of Business Development. I got selected with zero experience in the finance domain. The initial months were very hard for me. Since I started from scratch, I faced criticism in the beginning. A single mistake and you are subjected to the title of ‘irresponsible.’

People underestimated me and doubted my talent, but their ultimate aim was to build my personality. At every stage, I had to prove myself. But those questions didn’t stop me from moving ahead.

At times, I felt disappointed and wanted to give up. But one of my seniors, Mr. Ramanjeet, never lost faith in me. He supported me on this entire journey and helped to bring back my lost faith. As a result, I increased my pace of moving and proved everyone wrong. Because of my positive attitude and perseverance, I was promoted to the post of Senior Manager – Business Development. I led a team of around a hundred people and contributed to the company’s growth. Our company’s progress report was positive and we were generating good revenue. We started with around 2K and ended up with 50lacs in a year.

Team efforts shown by all the members boosted the company’s growth, and we were moving in the right direction. Many value-added training programs in finance, such as stock market, investment banking, and so on, were introduced. I started connecting with people and found the right audience who were looking for such training programs and wanted to build their career in the finance industry.

My results were constantly improving, and I was appointed as the Vice President (HR & Talent Acquisition). While at the post of HR, I also collaborated with many of the top B-schools like IIMs and universities to hire fresh talent for the company.

Our progress was good, but the biggest turning point in my life was when I was chosen as one of the directors of the company. An unforgettable and proud moment that defines my success story.

My sincere efforts paid off well. All the team members recognized and acknowledged my efforts and felicitated me with the position of Director. It couldn’t be possible if I had stopped in between, crying over my weaknesses and cursing my destiny.

I listened carefully to my seniors, took feedback with a positive approach, analyzed my weaknesses, and most importantly, believed in myself. And today, I am what I wanted to be.

Back then, I didn't have any experience or any resources to grow, learn, or become street smart. What I had was sheer determination and passion to live my dream.

And I am thankful to the company board for giving me a chance. There are a set of people whom I wanted to thank from the bottom of my heart for recognizing my skills and giving me a platform to showcase my talent. A special thanks to Mr. Ramanjeet, who brought out the best in me. Trust is the glue that holds the relationships together, and I knew I had fulfilled my promise of staying transparent with my partners and employees.

At times, it happens that people stop believing in you or that they just lose faith in you. But never, ever allow your trust to leave you. You will be criticized openly, but accept that criticism positively. My success story was full of obstacles and challenges. I worked on them sincerely, and the results were commendable. People will judge you at every step. It may be because of age, experience, qualification, and a lot more. But your task is to accept what is beneficial to you and reject all the unnecessary stuff. Maintaining your position where you are is even a bigger challenge. But the fighting spirit within you will let you cope with those challenges too. As said, you can do wonders and achieve anything. All you need to do is just introspect yourself and find your inner potential.

I hope my story will become an inspiration for all those who consider themselves incapable or doubt their abilities.

If you dream it, you can do it.
