How Leaders Master Emotions During Conflict

I’m writing this blog because my teammate sent me an Infographic, "How to Calm Your Brain During Conflict" and said it was “right up your alley." No, I’m not a high conflict person, but as a consulting psychologist I frequently talk about what she calls “that brain stuff." As part of my coaching conversations with leaders, I always inquire about how they manage conflict. Most of the time I get raised eyebrows and either a quiet stare or a verbal replay of situations. Let’s face it, none of us enjoys conflict, but we can get better at mastering our emotions during a conflict.
